My inspiration for this artwork comes from life and death;  all living things are tied together, created from the same thing. In death, we go back to the earth, sea, sky, space. We become part of the nature that in life we feel so separate from.

This expression represents the maturity of the spirited clown archetype and the beauty of simplicity and wisdom. Clowns from all cultures and their healing medicine have been documented in history since 1000 B.C and this vision is an example of why this archetype should be Revered and Celebrated for reminding each other to get over the small stuff and life is better with laughter. In this image, the viewer sees the now wise clown looking off into the distance for she knows that this is only the beginning for the fantastic journey left to come.

ProtoCephalopod_0923h_SD is the eighth piece (8/8) in the ProtoCephalopods project. 
ProtoCephalopods are part of my long running Protobytes series, begun in 2004. 

Protobytes is an investigation into generative, artificial lifeforms, created algorithmically through code and math. The original 2004 series were built of overlapping 2D forms using ActionScript. ProtoCephalopods are generative 3D models built with WebGL (three.js), TypeScript and my own PByte.js library. 

These pieces, designated with the SD suffix, extend the ProtoCephalopods project 1 step further, utilizing artificial intelligence (Stable Diffusion) enhancement, with DreamStudio.ai.
